The HEIC problem, explained
Since 2017, every iPhone saves photos as HEIC by default. Apple did this for a good reason — HEIC files are about 50% smaller than JPEG at the same quality, which saves storage on your phone.
The problem starts when you try to use those photos anywhere else. Emailing a HEIC to a Windows user? They can't open it. Uploading to WordPress or Shopify? Rejected. Sending to a print service? Not supported.
JPG is the universal format that works everywhere — every browser, every operating system, every app. This tool converts your HEIC photos to JPG while keeping the quality you'd expect from the original.
Smaller files, better quality. But only works reliably on Apple devices and newer Android phones.
Works literally everywhere. Every browser, every OS, every image editor since 1992.
On your iPhone: Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible. New photos will save as JPG. Downside: photos take up ~2x more storage on your phone.
